Mentor Coaching
What is a Mentor Coach to me?
I started being a Mentor Coach in 2018.
I am an individual who is in the role of helping other coaches grow their practice or in getting their credentialing.
As a Mentor Coach, I always tell my mentee that my role is being the mirror to them as a coach.
In the Mentor Coaching for an ICF Credential journey, the process consists of:
1) Getting coaching and feedback in a collaborative conversation.
2) Appreciative and dialogued process based on an observed or recorded coaching session to increase their coaching capability.

Thank you to my mentor coach, Jennifer, for holding me accountable and being both a mentor, a coach & a friend in my growth towards successfully attaining my ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credentials.
As a coach, Jennifer is perceptive, energetic and displays great wisdom in her questions. She helped me be reflective in my own questioning and growth as a coach and person; not afraid to ask me the difficult questions and still hold space for me to explore my own coaching.
Jennifer is also one of the people that brought Points Of You®️ Singapore into fruition locally. I have also attended her Points of You workshop & learnt how to use the coaching tool with my coaching clients, and in trainings and facilitation work that I do.

Jennifer supported me in my ICF ACC credentialing journey as my mentor coach.
I like her way of reviewing recording, it is similar to doing self-evaluation during appraisal. Well, it is not easy to do self-evaluation unless one is very well-versed with it. Hence, it was painful at the beginning, however I learned to realise that it was useful as I knew where I did and did not do well.
Going through the competency markers at different level one by one together during the review helped me to enforce my learning.
Jennifer also encouraged me to be more brave in my coaching conversation, this has proven to taking my conversation to another level.
